I love this post; there are so many ideas to comment on. The book sounds so essential for those who struggle with similar and what a great cause it supports. Also, the website that accompanies it looks fantastic. The poem has made me smile, and the 80s photo tops it. I've also voted on the poll. I hope you will dive into the book-writing process.
I look forward to that. Above all, this post makes me want to take the next trip to France. Thank you, Karen.
This comment makes my whole week, thank you. And you clearly have the spirit of a fellow flâneuse who loves to wander (and wonder)! I really appreciate the support and the fact that you took a moment to write and to vote in the poll! I do plan to share more about the book process. As to France, it is a magical place, and you are most welcome :-)
So MANY comments come to mind about this!!...Love the photo of the magic show!...but alas, I'm on the road again (speaking in LA tomorrow, then off to Vegas). Once I'm back home next week, I'll be back here....
I spent 25 years as a TWA f/a, working JFK/CDG flights..spent years enjoying all the areas around Paris on layovers, and trips back there over the years. Sadly, the trips are down to one a year now..so your wonderful travel posts keep me energized! Merci beaucoup 🥰
Fantastic post--and it would be even without the shout out, which I loved, merci beaucoup, mon amie! Those were SUCH special times with you in 2020 & 2021!! We seriously would not have survived it without you, Karen, and we certainly wouldn't have had anywhere near as much fun! What a fantastic, fun, adventurous, creative, life you are living and have always lived! Love you so much, and so happy to live vicariously through La Flaneuse, which by the way is the BEST name! And those poems are THE BEST!!!
Love you and the same is true for me. I wouldn't have made it through the pandemic in Brooklyn without you two, blocktail parties, rooftop parties, and everything else :-)
