Hi Theresa, It was so great to have you with us. I'm posting some new dates today (Sat Mar 22) when my new newsletter comes out. Let me know if you have any trouble finding them. Looking forward to next time! bisous, Karen
Bonjour, Karen, I'm so looking forward to Le Salon tomorrow, March 12th. My project will be painting, something I have been trying to get back to for ages. My writing career took over, and then the marketing of my books. My love of painting and art-related projects slipped into the background. Now I am just getting back to art making! Merci! BTW, love your red portable piano! Red is my favorite color!
I felt rude saying the Red Roland Go is not really mon truc but had to be honest! I wish I could play but that ship has sailed and I am concentrating on painting and writing these days. Really looking forward to March 12th. I lived in the Dordogne in my twenties (1980s) - le paradis. One day our neighbours brought us boar sausages they had made themselves after a little one got knocked over by a car. I was very conflicted but in those days we were penniless and free food was free food!
haha pas de soucis pour le piano. In fact, I didn't want the red one but it was on special and I decided to save money. Now I kinda like it ❣️ Also saucisse de sanglier--my husband loves it! See you on the 12th--bring whatever you want to work on. Last week we had two visual artists in the group plus a bunch of writers and someone learning to interpret tarot cards, among others! 😊
Fun to read your comments, Elaine. I worked in France right after college at UC, Berkeley. I was lucky to get my first job there, as a civilian employee on a US Military base, taking enlisted men on tours, running a rec program! I was 21 years old and loving my first major job. I had studied French in high school and college. I have had many adventures since: written four books, ran a jewelry design business, and feel like one lucky woman who has never gotten over my love affair with France and with my dear French friends. I love the Dordogne region too. My husband and I biked there in the 1990s.
Ah cherie, j'adore tout ca (my laptop doesn't do accents!) It was a magical time in a magical place. I hope to see you, I am joining the session on 20th.
Hi Karen, I love a poll, bring ‘em on. 😃 I was hiking solo near Autoire last October when I had my first Sanglier encounter. I saw it first, it was right next to me, and when it saw me, it went crazy and was running all over eventually crossing over the hiking path and off it went. It was a young one. I loved it! I was wondering when that would happen as I’ve done a lot of hiking in France. At least it didn’t chase me, that I wouldn’t be into…
Oh Lord ! That is so scary to me, especially because with un marcassin (a young sanglier) you are in a much more dangerous position if the mother is in the area!! You are my hero but I will never attain the heights of your bravery, even though I love them from afar 🐗💕
I was getting un peu inquiet (sadly, used a translator!) that you weren't going to have it. Shew! And thank you for hosting. Love le piano rouge - did know that :).
Hi Karen, thank you so much for offering this creative meet-up! I think it's wonderful!
I'm presently in LA and just not sure of the starting time here. Just wanting to confirm the Paris starting time please, then I can calculate. You are 9 hours ahead I believe. My computer is Australian, like me, and it's only giving me Australian time, which is 4-5am. Merci!
Hello! Here's a link to a Time Zone Converter so you can keep track of times in any city. On March 5 in LA the event starts at 9AM but here's a link showing a number of times for different cities on that date. You can plug in the time you see on the invite for any date and it will tell you what time wherever you are! Let me know if you have any trouble and we'll be so happy to see you there -- bring whatever you're working on ❣️
Hi!! You do not need to offer anything at all! Just sign up and bring something you want to work on and I’ll explain the rest. It’s really just time together to prioritize our dreams! Hope to see you there!!
Just popping in to say what a wonderful experience it was to create with you and the others during Le Salon. I look forward to the next time.

Just sent you a note. I can't believe I have something scheduled for each of those times! I'm very disappointed. I hope to catch you next round.
Awww, well I will post more soon!!
C'est un histoire tres drôle, Karen! Loved the photo and imagined the scene! Not so funny for the women in the salon, j'imagine!
À bientôt, demain à Le Salon!
Sher (or Sherry; my French friends always called me Sherry thinking it funny that my name was "darling" like cherie en français!
Awww thank you ❣️And I love the Sher/chère connection !!

Thank you very much for the useful link Karen. Unfortunately I now cannot make this meeting. I hope to be able to attend the next one.
We’ll see you soon ❣️
Love the boar story...there are plenty here, but I've never heard anything quite so dramatic!
I know!!!!
Hi, Karen
I would really like to sign up for the salon. I'm not quite sure what I would have to offer.
