I'm afraid so, but for me there is something sweetly charming about it. It's clearly a hit with the locals and some of the items were sold out, most disappointingly the American Box Party. But the hot dogs weren't bad, especially with the Cajun pickle relish I brought back from New Orleans hee hee!

This is hilarious. My boyfriend (who is French) and I were just in Picard yesterday and were talking about how we’d come here for our 4th of July party.

Great idea! Also if you ever need cranberries at Thanksgiving you can generally find them in Picard. I sometimes have trouble locating them so it's a great fall-back option. But the question is, do you have the Picard Glacier (Cooling) Bag for shopping at Picard? I wish I could post a pic in the comments ha!

Good to know! I managed to make a pumpkin pie using a courge musqué… it wasn’t half bad. Unfortunately the glacier bag yet. That’s next level!

A tip on the pumpkin purée--although the courge is a great fix!--if you do need the pumpkin, you can get it (albeit at an exorbitant price, I paid 7 euros for a big can) at La Grande Epicerie (the fabulous grocery store of Le Bon Marché). xo
