The best thing I have ever done for self-care is RETIRE! It gave me the time to focus on my health and consistently do so. My work was very physical and demanding, and although I miss it, I am much better for it! I was fortunate to be able to do so, and now the next best thing is to move to France!! Enjoy Provence; it's a gem, especially Gordes!
Just took out of the oven. Fantastic. I wish I would have kept the chèvre in rounds and not crumbled it, as a few bits were too small and got charred. I’ll follow instructions a bit better next time. Thanks for the inspiration and a wonderful weeknight supper 🌸
That tart looks fabulous. As for doing things for me, my whole Substack project is about that, in a way. But it's busy "for me" stuff. I'm intrigued by the retreats I've been reading about recently.
Your weekend sounds like a dream! I don’t know you well, but our afternoon spent together in Paris, showed me how easily you make friends….so enjoy every second!🥰
Your weekend sounds as delicious as this recipe. I hope that it's all you dreamed it will be. Also, as someone who is "special" in the kitchen, I have to thank you for including pictures (what am I, 10?) with the recipe, because it helps me soooo much, as I doubt myself along many a simple recipe. Thank you! I'm definitely going to try this one!

Merci ! I'm curious to know what you find most interesting or intriguing about what you're reading about vis à vis retreats, if you care to share :-)
Sure! I’m mainly interested in doing a writing-focused retreat here in France. I’ve become aware of a few via Substack.

Delicious!! Thank you so much for sharing g the recipe! I wish we still were in fig season 😞 because I love them!
Thank you! You can also just use fig jam or honey!
I have that I’ll try!
Try some dried figs. Works quite well.
Thanks! Will try!
