Love your pale new parquet. I opted for dark and I regret it. When the sunlight comes in, I can see every speck of dust on the floor and it drives me crazy!
Thank you for that--I was slightly unsure but I knew I wanted the house to have a very light spirit, so that's what led us in that direction, and I really like the gray flecks in the pattern too. I know what you mean about dust on a dark floor. I had slate floors in my bathroom in NYC and they looked great until 5 mins after I moved in. After that it was la catastrophe ! :-)
