Once you get over their space-alien appearance (and learn how to open them without spraying violet juice on your white blouse), são magníficas! The texture of a clam with an ocean flavor as intense as une huître. Next time, Karen, you must.

I had noticed your absence and was getting worried about you! Glad it was nothing more serious than a case of "the gunk", but it sounds like it was an awful one.
And I would definitely eat those things on the condition they were cooked. Are they?

I’m reading this in bed with a tremendous cough and a voice that sounds like I spent all night smoking cigarettes and drinking hard whisky with strangers in a dark bar. (Kindof alluring though.) I really hope I don’t have what you had. But if Porto is the remedy - one of my favourite cities in the world - I suppose I’ll just have to take my medicine!
